Q: What to bring?
A: Warm clothing, rain gear, mosquito repellent,
prescription medicines and only as much of anything as you need.
Make a meal plan and stick to it. Divide tasks between members
so nothing is doubled-up.
Q: How do I make reservations?
A: For Sas Lodge, we do not book in packages
or have any set days you must arrive and depart on, so our bookings
are very flexible. We need to know how many people may be in your
group, what type of cabin you are interested in and roughly what
dates you would like. When you call us, we will let you know what
cabins and dates are available that most closely match what you
are looking for and go from there. Of course, the earlier you
call the better, and we do give preference for dates and cabins
to our long-time guests and those who stayed the year previously
if they wish to keep the same booking for the following year.

Q: Can I use my Cellular phone?
A: No. Cellular phones will not work out here.
In case of emergency, your family or office can call our main
office and have a message sent to the lodge for you. There is
a satellite phone at the lodge that is only to be used for emergencies.
Q: When's the best time to come fishing?
A: Anytime is a great time for fishing at Sasaginnigak. The lake has a thriving fish population and many Master Angler's are caught and released each year through-out the season. No matter what kind of fisherman you are, you will catch all sizes of fish from 5 to 50 inches. As the season progresses, the fish move into different areas of the lake. But even in the heat of summer, the water temperature remains relatively cool due to the "whiskey" colour of the water, and the fish are never hard to find.
Q: What about open fires?
A: Open fires are not allowed at anytime, anywhere on the lake. We do have camp stoves you can borrow to take with you for the day.
