"We arrived at Biscuit Harbour in the afternoon. We had reserved one of their cabins to stay in the night before we flew out to Sas. We were a little bit early for supper so we sat back on their big deck over-looking the lake and had a few drinks. Although we could have cooked at our cabin, we had a nice steak supper at the restaurant, that way we didn't have to unpack anything until we got to the lodge. After supper we walked around down at the dock and looked at the float plane we'd be flying on in the morning, then headed back to the cabin for a relaxing soak in the hot tub before bed.
The next morning we took our gear down to the dock at about 5:30 am to get weighed and loaded on the plane. We headed up to the restaurant for a hearty breakfast and by the time we were done eating the plane was ready to go. We had a nice, smooth flight and landed at Sas at about 7:30 am. The crew there met us on the dock and loaded up our gear into the quad trailer and took it up to our cabin. We just left our stuff un-packed, grabbed our fishing gear and went straight down to the shore to get our boats ready.
Within half an hour we were off to the East River to try our luck.
The days' fishing was quite prosperous with the youngest of our group catching the biggest fish of the day - isn't that always the way. We each took care of our supper duties - some cleaning the fish, some doing the cooking and some the dishes. There's nothing like a fresh fish dinner, especially after all that fresh air. The sun sets pretty late up here in the summer so I just caught the start of the sunset before I drifted off to sleep wandering what tomorrow would hold"
