Sas Lake Lodge
Sasaginnigak
Lodge was very proud to celebrate 40 years in 2002 so it is no
wonder we've seen generations of families coming here year after
year. Sasaginnigak offers quality fishing at affordable rates.
We are one of the very few lodges that operates with flexible
bookings - you pick how many days you stay, you pick what days
of the week you arrive and depart camp and you bring your own
groceries so you can fish and eat on your own time schedule! We're
just there to help you enjoy a great experience!
The lodge is located on Sasaginnigak Lake in the heart of Atikaki Provincial Wilderness Park. The original native name Sasaginnigak means "many ways to go." With over 100 islands, 175 miles of shoreline and encompassing over 8600 surface acres it is a very fitting name. Walleye (Pickerel) and Northern (Jack, Pike) are the pre-dominant species; with many "Master Anglers" caught each year.
Our lodge consists of ten light-housekeeping cabins ranging in
size from four beds to twelve beds. Each cabin comes equipped
with a kitchen (propane stove-top, refrigerator, cold running
water, dishes) and bunk beds. All bedding and towels are provided.
There is a central shower building with flush toilets for guests
of the Standard Cabins to use. The Master Angler, Edgewater and
Hillcrest cabins all have indoor toilets and showers. There is
a main building that houses staff accommodations and a small store,
which sells fishing licenses, bait, some tackle, mosquito repellent,
chocolate bars and drinks. 14' Lund Boats with 8hp, 4-stroke outboards
are provided for every two people.
