What's New at Sas?

Each season we continue to upgrade our facilities and add some new amenities. Over the last few seasons we have installed flush toilets into the Hillcrest and Edgewater Cabins. We have also completed a new shower/washroom facility also with flush toilets. This building is centrally located and is for the use of all of our guests, especially those in the standard cabins who do not have washrooms in their cabins. We have also re-built sections of boardwalk as I'm sure many of you re-call there were good reasons why we had them in place for so many years before. It certainly keeps from getting muddy feet and tracking dirt through your cabin.

We also have plans underway to do some work on a few of our four-man cabins. Some of them are in need of new roofing and new insulation. Those that are still structurally in good shape will be fixed up and remodelled and put back into service. We would also like to design one of the cabins for couples as we do have a number of couples who come out for a relaxing week away.

The New Cabin Six may be beginning to sound like a fairy tale for some as we have been talking about it for so long. Plans are still underway, some materials have already been flown in but a start date has not been finalized. This project is one that Jim had wanted to see happen before he passed away. Cabin 6 is loved by many and there are many guests who wanted to hang-on to staying in it until it just was no longer feasible. We feel that the New Cabin 6 will be loved as much as the old one. Somethings do have to change, but we don't want to change them any more than we have to.

Linda, Louis and Joan will all be returning this season and as usual we plan to have a great crew to look after your needs this year. We hope they make your stay as enjoyable as always.
